  • Samples were received from 11 species
  • Samples received included feathers from the Australian wood duck, Plumed whistle duck, Magpie goose, Australian white ibis, Black swan, Australasian grebe, Beach-stone curlew, Royal spoonbill, Yellow-billed spoonbill, Pied cormorant and Little black cormorant
  • Feathers from the Australian white ibis found in this basin area will be studied further to determine the genetic relatedness between urban, coastal and inland population groups
